TheatreMAD is running the Bath Half Marathon
Our team is Dave Puckridge, Dave Scullion and Ed Wood. (N.B. 'Team' is being used loosely as they will be trying to beat each other. This may involve tripping.)
Please support our team by giving what you can.
And do join us in Bath on Sunday 15th March if you would like to see the ultimate display in passive aggressive running, where 3 men quietly try to win and 2 men eventually hide their disappointment that they didn't. There Will Be Tears. (Secret ones.)
Thanks very much.

On Sunday 26th April 2009 from 9.00am approximately 46,500 people will start the 29th annual London Marathon.
Two of these people - let's call them 'the most important people' - will be running for TheatreMAD, making a difference for people living with HIV, AIDS and other long-term conditions.
Our runners for 2009 are:
- David Lane (Finance Director at Bailey Teswaine)
- Mark Puddle (Artistic Director of The Lord Chamberlain's Men).
We are thrilled that David and Mark have decided to represent us this year, the first year that TheatreMAD have found folk who want to run 26.2 miles for us.
A huge thank you to them from us.
Please show your support for them in the form of finance. All donations welcome; whatever you can give really is greatly appreciated. Links to each runner's Just Giving page are below.
Please visit justgiving.com/davidlane1 to sponsor David.
Please visit justgiving.com/markpuddle to sponsor Mark.
Meantime, please join us in wishing our runners the very best of luck as the battle through the gruelling training on their way to crossing the all-important 26.2 mile-marker. |

Following last year’s hugely successful launch, we’re bringing back West End Eurovision in 2009, which will take place at the Piccadilly Theatre – 11.30pm, Thursday 30th April.
Facing tough competition from other West End shows, the company of Wicked scooped both the Audience Award and Judges’ Award in 2008 with their version of the UK’s 1996 Euro entry, Just A Little Bit.
BBC London Television also covered the show and you can see their feature at news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/7405846.stm.
We’re planning for West End Eurovision 2009 to be even bigger than last year, with even more entries, a new award and a celeb-filled panel of favourite Eurovision faces - so far including Graham Norton, Sally Ann Triplett, and Katrina Leskanich (of Katrina and the Waves).
CURRENT 2009 ENTRIES:
BILLY ELLIOT CAROUSEL GREASE HAIRSPRAY LA CAGE AUX FOLLES DISNEY'S THE LION KING MAMMA MIA! OLIVER! THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA WE WILL ROCK YOU WICKED
So don’t 'Cry Cry Baby', show 'Just A Little Bit' of support for TheatreMAD; don’t ignore that 'Message To Your Heart' – let 'Love Shine A Light' and say 'Boom Bang A Bang to... West End Eurovision!
Tickets on-sale now! Booking details below.
Early booking advised.

TheatreMAD are delighted to extend the following offer from the producers of Nicholas De Jongh's 'Plague Over England'.
Best available tickets for £20 (normally £46), of which the Producer will donate £2 to TheatreMAD. This is valid for all performances excluding Saturday Evenings (ie. Mon-Fri 7.45pm, Wed and Sat 3pm).
PLAGUE OVER ENGLAND offers a fascinating insight into the little known gay witch-hunt in 1950s Britain and the people caught up in it. Written by Nicholas de Jongh and directed by Tamara Harvey, the play runs at The Duchess Theatre until 16 May.
21 October 1953. The recently knighted Sir John Gielgud, poised to return to the West End in a new play, is arrested in a public lavatory on charges of importuning for immoral purposes. As news of his conviction is splashed across the national press - at a time when judges, politicians and doctors were describing homosexuality in terms of a cancer, an epidemic and a threat to national life - Gielgud faces personal and professional ruin. Then something extraordinary happens.
'... the finest and most exhilarating play on the West End stage' (Neil Sean, Sky News)
4 Stars (Daily Telegraph, The Guardian, Sunday Express, The Times)
'Entertaining, poignant and very funny' (Christopher Hart, Sunday Times)
'Impressive...moving and arresting...DON'T MISS IT' (Benedict Nightingale, The Times) |
